New LA Fitness Coming Soon to South Mountain Area in Phoenix, AZ

As I was driving west on Baseline Road near 24^th street yesterday afternoon, I saw three LA Fitness salesmen under a tent.  I was curious to know if a new LA Fitness was opening in the area, so I pulled into the parking lot and decided to have a chat with them.  They were basically there selling memberships and spreading the news regarding a new LA fitness opening in the area.  They told me LA fitness is considering two possible locations.  The first and preferred location is directly behind the neighborhood Wal-Mart on the southwest corner of 24^th street and Baseline and the second possible location is near 32^nd Street (it was either 32^nd street or 35^th street, I can’t remember the exact street) and Southern Road.  In addition the LA Fitness is slated to be a 24 hour LA Fitness.  LA Fitness in the process of getting approval from the city to be open 24 hours a day at the 24^th street location.  And if they don’t get the approval from the city they would build at the southern location were they already have the approval.   

They also confirmed that a LA Fitness is scheduled to be built behind the Walgreens on 51^st ave and baseline in Laveen.  They didn’t know when they would break ground, but they did tell me once they break ground it takes just two months to open.
